Mounting for LBL Lighting Pendant Lights

Thursday, August 31st, 2006

I am interested in ordering 4 Model# HS267. What I am not sure about is which mount I need. My contractor said to tell you I have 1 pancake box and 3 regular junction boxes. Can you advise on the proper mount? Thanks!

Answer:
The item you are asking about is an LBL Lighting Caroline Pendant Light, you will be ordering the MPT: MONOPOINT mounting, which comes with either a dome or flush canopy plus 75W transformer for each pendant light.  The pancake box will be too shallow to house the 75W transformer.  Thus, if you want the canopies to be consistent for all 4 pendant lights, then you will need to use the Dome canopies, which can house the transformer.  (Mount: MPT: DOME canopy + 75W transformer )

Kenroy Table Lamps

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

I was looking through your website and came upon this table lamp item # KR-02410, I think it is a very nice lamp but wonder if it has a cover on top. I want to set it on a low table and don’t want the emitting light to shine in my eyes.

Answer:
This Kenroy Table Lamp is called Di Luce, item KR-02410 the light is actually light blue in color. It also comes in a few various colors such as white, KR-02416, green, KR-02412, and amber, KR-02414 It does not have a top but it should not bother your eyes unless you are looking directly over it.  Also if you would like a light with a top or cover over it you can click on the link below to see a similiar lamp. http://www.arcadianlighting.com/kr-02418.html

Craftemade Ol’ Madrid Ceiling Fan

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

I have a Craftmade Ol’ Madrid Ceiling Fan and am seeing a weird problem. When I turn the ceiling fan on at med or high speed, the entire ceiling fan turns a notch. When I turn the fan off, the entire ceiling fan then turn back a notch. What could be the cause?

Answer:
This is the first that we’ve heard of such issue. We’ve almost never had a problem with Craftmade ceiling fans. Check the place where the ceiling fan downrod joins the top of the tripod section. There is a bolt that secures the ceiling fan with the downrod. Make sure it is tight and does not allow lateral movement. If you still have a problem, you may contact Craftmade’s technical support at 800-527-2578.

Mounting for Tech Lighting’s Pendant Light

Monday, August 28th, 2006

I am looking at a Tech Lighting pendant light item # TECH-MAYA I see that the mounting system has to be selected, but it’s not clear if the mounting canopy is included in the price (I assume it isn’t but want to make sure). I’m interested in the monopoint mounting.

Answer:
You are correct. The mounting canopy is not included in the price. It needs to be purchased separately. Our Tech Lighting section is not complete yet. We are actively working on it.

The mounting canopy is here (flush canopy): http://www.arcadianlighting.com/800mp4rf.html,
but it is missing a picture. Or if you need a surface canopy, it’s located here: http://www.arcadianlighting.com/800mpsf4.html

How Long does a Halogen Bulb Last?

Monday, August 28th, 2006

I very recently purchased a floor lamp from Lite Source Model# LS-9498-SS. Last night the halogen bulb burned out (Thankfully you provided a backup bulb). How long should these bulbs last? I’m sure the answer is not 3 weeks, so perhaps we have a problem with the lamp itself? If the backup bulb doesn’t last much longer than the first, I’m going to have to suspect something is wrong. Any thoughts?

Answer:
Yes, the bulb life should be more than 3 weeks. Typically, the halogen bulb should last between 1000 - 2000 hours. One thing to watch out for is that when you are putting the bulb in, try wearing a glove so that the bulb doesn’t come in contact with your bare hand. The reason is that we don’t want to leave oil deposit on the bulb since they get extremely hot, otherwise it may shorten the life of the bulb.

Matching Outdoor Wall Sconce and Post

Friday, August 25th, 2006

I sent a message last week in regards to items Maxim Lighting Abbey Outdoor Post, MX-20410-CD-FB and Maxim Lighting Direct Burial Pole, MX-1091. We like the Florence Bronze color but it appears the pole does not come in that color. What color do you recommend with the florence bronze and please let me know how these products weather. Thank you! We are on a time schedule here with our work crew so a quick response is necessary.

Answer:
Yes, the pole does not come in all the available finishes. To go with the Florence Bronze finish, you can consider Black, Rust Patina, or Empire Bronze finish for the pole. The Empire Bronze finish is only available with photocell option currently, however.

All of the following are in stock:
MX-2004 -Made of trisyn, great durable material for ocean climate
MX-20410-CD-FB
MX-20412 or MX-20413-CD-FB

As far as how they weather, it really depends on where they are installed. If they are installed near the ocean, they will show signs of rust within a year. However, if they are installed in a place where the climate is tame, the finish would be good for at least a few years.

Mix and Match Glass Shades from Local Store

Friday, August 25th, 2006

If I were to purchase the Designers Fountain Mix and Match Vanity bathroom light (B105-CHB), and just ordered the light fixture and not the glass shades, would individual glass shades sold in our local store fit this fixture?

Answer:
Most likely yes, if your local store sells glass with neck / lip with 2-1/4″ openings. The only thing that you need to note is the width of the glass. You need to make sure there is enough room between the glasses (side by side) when putting them up on the bathroom light fixture.

Greko Chandelier does not Fit on Sloped Ceiling

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

Answer:
We’ve contacted the manufacturer and learned that the AC-23808 Greko chandelier is not designed for use on a sloped ceiling.

Why Does the Price Change When I Check Out?

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

I was trying to order the LBL Pendant Light model HS331. It states that your price on this light fixture is $144.00 and at the bottom of the page it lists $164.00. Why is it when I order it, it lists at $184.00?

Answer:
The HS331 “monorail version” is $144. It’s $184.00 for the “monopoint version” for individual installation. The HS341 “monorail version” is $164. “monopoint version” is $204. The HS341 Cone II Pendant Light costs more because it has an inner borosilicate glass cone. Hope this clarifies your inquiry.

Do You Have Juno Compatable Track Lighting?

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

I currently have Juno standard track lighting in my apartment. I would like to keep the track, since it is a bit messy to replace it, but would prefer to change the spotlights (fixtures). My question is whether the spotlights shown in your website are compatible with Juno standard track light, specifically:

Nora Lighting Belgium Gimbal Line Voltage Track Light - NTH-132
Nora Lighting Metro Line Voltage Track Light - NTH-619S
Nora Lighting Italia Line Voltage Track Light - NTH-618S

Answer:
Unfortunately, our track lights are not compatible with Juno tracks. Ours are Halo-compatible, which is the most widely-used standard. You would most likely have to look elsewhere to get Juno-compatible track lights. We apologise that we couldn’t additionally assist you. For more information about track lighting and the different kinds available, please visit our track lighting tutorial page.
