I am wondering if the Nora Lighting Eric Monorail Fixture can be wall mounted? Also, do you buy each light seperate? If not how many lights come with each rail? How long is the rail?
Answer: Nora Lighting currently doesn’t have a wall sconce version for this light. The only alternative is to mount your Nora monorail lighting system on the wall, using the monorail wall connector. And yes, you have to buy each NRS19-474 light separately. The whole monorail lighting system needs to be purchased separately. There are different rail lengths you can choose from. You can see all the Nora monorail lighting components here. If you have difficulty determining which items you need, please give us a call at 888-918-8030. We’ll be happy to assist you.

I would like to purchase 2 of the Quoizel Lighting Madeline wall sconces as well as the chandelier for my bedroom. The wall sconces are for above my bed. The electrical boxes they will go in are at the same level as the top of the headboard, so I will need to adjust the wall sconces. Is it possible to slide the actual light part up so it sits higher on the cover plate? I need the bottom of the wall sconces to be level with the bottom of the plate that goes over the electrical box in the wall.
Answer: The arms / stems of these wall sconces are solid; they are not adjustable. It would require a lot of work to position the wall sconces the way you want them. Most likely you will have to move the electrical junction boxes, which we believe would not be feasible. You will be better off finding existing wall sconces that can work in your application without being modified.

I recently purchased and received the SPJ14-02 outdoor spot light. I didn’t realize that a tranformer isn’t included. Do I need the SPJ19-15 transformer for this landscape lighting fixture?
Answer: If you just need to power the SPJ14-02 outdoor spot light, you can purchase this 75W transformer. If you need to power more low-voltage landscape lighting fixtures, you need to purchase higher capacity transformers, which can be found under our landscape lighting accessories section. Please make sure the transformer will not come in contact with water.

What sort of light bulb does the Besa Lighting Sasha contemporary bathroom light fixture take? Max wattage if incandescent? Can it be converted to a manual on/off switch? Also, how would you describe the bronze finish on this light? Shiny, satin or antique?
Answer: The Sasha bathroom light fixture takes a regular A19 incandescent bulb (not included). The maximum wattage is 100W max. At this time, the manufacturer does not do customization. Therefore, the bathroom light does not come with a built-in switch. It needs to be controlled by a wall switch. Besa Lighting’s bronze finish is a oil rubbed bronze. It is a very dark, glossy bronze finish that is close to black.

I presently have line voltage outdoor lighting fixtures on a brick wall. I want to change it to inset lighting (step lights) without having to redo my masonary. Will the Dabmar LV-606 outdoor step light work for this purpose (I’d be using the line voltage lines for the 12 volt current)? I’d like to fit the new light inside the standard lighting electrical box such that the surface is flush with the brick work. Please advise.
Answer: The LV-606 Outdoor Step Light is a surface mount light fixture. It’s not recessed into the brick wall and won’t be flushed, even though it does have a very slim profile (2″ in depth). It will fit over a standard 4″ electrical box. A transformer will be required to work with this step light. It can be a central transformer with high capacity (300W+), or you can use individual mini transformers that can be housed in the electrical junction box.

I’m interested in purchasing two of your Troy Lighting outdoor lighting fixtures, but can’t find out what the option called “dark sky compliant” is? So, afraid to order until I understand that. Can you let me know? Thank you!
Answer: The Dark Sky Compliant option basically means that the outdoor lighting fixture features a design such that light will only be directed downward; no light shines upwards, keeping the sky dark. Such compliance exists because certain residential communities feels that light shining onto neighboring property is annoying, wastes energy, and obscures the night sky. Dark Sky Compliance reduces light pollution and sky glow, allowing people to view the stars more clearly without the sky glow. Therefore, certain communities would only allow Dark Sky Compliant outdoor lighting fixtures. Furthermore, lighting that glares in your eyes is a potential safety hazard.
Please note that it will take up to 3 weeks to ship if you pick the Dark Sky option for the light fixtures you are interested in: Troy Lighting Circa 1910 Traditional Outdoor Wall Sconce.

Can the Lite Source SOHO Contemporary Accent Table Lamp (LS-291) be hardwired?
Answer: This table lamp comes with a plug and inline switch on the cord. Technically, All table lamps and floor lamps can be hard-wired by cutting off the plug, stripping the cord insulation at the tip, and hard-wire to your electrical junction box. However, customers do so at their own risk, and by doing so, it will void the warranty of the lamps.

I saw this wall sconce on another site for considerably more, but in their description the fixture was “switched”; it didn’t need a wall switch. I require a switched wall sconce. There is not much description on your site about this item, does it require a wall switch? If it isn’t switched can you make a modification to the light fixture?
Answer: The Meyda Tiffany Geometric Green Wall Sconce does not come with a switch by default. It would require a wall switch, as is the case with the great majority of the wall sconces that we offer. However, Meyda Tiffany can customize the wall sconce by installing a switch. The lead time would be 4 - 6 weeks, and the upcharge for the customization would be around $50. Hope this helps.

I’m living in the UK at the moment and I’ve seen a fitting on your site that I’d really like to get. It’s the LBL Lighting Apex Swivel Light - HD162, I’d like to get the MPT: FLUSH canopy version. How much would it cost to get one posted to London?
Answer: We are sorry to inform you that at this time, we do NOT ship our products internationally, due to logistics difficulty, as most of our products are expensive to ship internationally and breakage occurs quite frequently. Some of our customers have US-based forwarders that Arcadian Lighting can ship products to. Once the forwarder receives the light fixtures from us, they will ship then the items to you internationally. However, this is done more often when customers order in bulk and the lights are palletized, lowering the risk of breakage. We can only guarantee items arrive intact within the US.

I have a kitchen with a cathedral ceiling. There are beams that run across the room and at 8-feet height. I have track lighting on top of these beams facing up. The track lights point up and reflect the light off the ceiling to light the room. I would like to add a light that connects to the track and then (maybe using a flexible extension rod bent to 180 degrees) connect a light that would hang down over the kitchen table and another that would hang down over the island. Is this possible? If I use the 3 - Wire Halo Compatible 18″ Flexible Extension Rods what type of light can I connect onto them? Can I get some type of pendant light to be the light that hangs down. Thanks for any advice.
Answer: Yes, you can use the Nora Lighting Flexible Extension Rod to achieve what you have in mind. The easiest solution is to get line-voltage track lights with the flexible extension rods. You can also use low-voltage track lights with the flexible extension rod. However, you will need to purchase the NTL-2200 series track lights where the transformer is separate from the light, so the transformer is connected to the track, instead of at the other end of the extension rod, hanging in mid air. One other thing to pay attention to is to see if your beam thickness is small enough so it allows the 18″ extension rod to actually make it to where you want the track lights to be. Hope this helps.Â

I’m very interested in the Designers Fountain Galicia pendant light (DF-94132-AO), but would like to know where the on/off switch is. I prefer a pull chain from the bottom.
Answer: The Galicia pendant light needs to be hard-wired and to be controlled by a wall switch. It does not have a pull chain switch with it. Almost all pendant lights and wall sconces we offer need to be hard-wired to an electric junction box, either up at the ceiling for pendant lights or at the wall for wall sconces.
