Hi. I currently have the Access Lighting “Punto” series lighting fixtures. I want to change the accent clips (it looks a bit too space-y). Is this possible? Do you think the quad (50062), 50-Thousand (50020), or Luna (50069) would fit? Actually I don’t mind having any other clip design, I just hope it fits. Where could I go to get these clips?

Answer: We contacted the manufacturer, Access Lighting and they advised us that the clips indeed can NOT be interchangeable. We also asked them if they offered different variations of clips for their light fixtures and they advised us that they do not. We are sorry if this should cause you any inconvenience. These lighting fixtures are premanufactured in China, so they are shipped as they are.

I am looking for this Access Lighting Vision (I) Martini Contemporary Pendant Light but I want it in a black finish. Can you suggest anything?

Answer:  We searched through the Access Lighting catalog and could not find a light fixture that had a black finish which would have been similar to the pendant light that you are interested in. We do have black pendants, but they do not look like the item that you like. A way to search for the black finishes is to go to our search engine and type “black pendant”.

I like the Meyda Tiffany Sonoma Inverted Pendant Light but would like to know more about dimensions, installation and coloring. Also, are there gaps on type for the light or is it one solid decorative piece? Does it look green or is it my imagination?

Answer: We would love to provide you with the information requested. Can you be more specific with regards to what dimensions you are looking for? The total height of this light fixture is: 32-56h which means it can hang as high as 32″ or as low as 56″. This pendant light fixture is supplied with 3ft of chain and 4 ft of cable. If you need additional chain, we would need to know how much you would be ordering so we could specify that to Meyda Tiffany and also in order to give you the proper quotation. The shade is 9″ h x 40.5″ w and it uses a Med.X6 bulb Max Watt: 100/each bulb x 6 bulbs. Six-sided shade is in sand beige and bark brown granite stained art glass. The inverted pendant hardware has a warm cinnamon coffee powder coat finish.

I am interested in the LBL Lighting Daisy Pendant Light (color: blue/silver). However, I am confused about the mounting. Ideally I would like this light fixture to be wired with simply a plug at the end of the wire. I am replacing a light set up in this way.

Answer: The pendant lights hang from the canopy- either dome (round) or flush (flat)- thus the wiring will go into the ceiling. There will be no plug. You do have the option of having the lighting fixtures set up on a dimmer and in that way, you can control the amount of light. But other than that, there is no plug which goes into an outlet with respect to the majority of pendant lights. The dome canopy is about 4″ in diameter and 1.5″ in height. You would need a dome canopy if your ceiling does not have a junction box that allows the transformer to sit in it. The flush canopy sits tight against the ceiling and you would get that if you do have a junction box.

The Quoizel Lighting Alhamre’ Tiffany Contemporary Inverted Pendant Light - QZ-TF1816VB shows a height of 25 inches on your website. I need to know if that means the light fixture itself is 25 inches high or if it means the lighting fixture hangs from the ceiling at a height of 25 inches. Sorry, but I’m green at reading this sort of thing. I am at a point of ordering lights from you or at least my remodeler, Houston Structural is. They’re pressing me to make kitchen light selections so I do need to clear this up pretty quick.

Answer: The height of 25 inches refers to the height of this tiffany pendant light fixture itself and does NOT include the chain.

Before I order two lamps, Designers Fountain Swing Arm Transitional Wall Lamp - DF -5182-PB and DF-5181-PB  I need to know if they can be hard-wired so that I don’t have to see the cord or cord cover hanging down from the plate. If so, would there be a hole in the plate that is fastened to the wall where the cord would have come out or the cord cover would have gone in? If there is a visible hole, is there some kind of matching knob to cover it? 

Answer: These wall sconces are both hardwired so there is no plug that would allow it to plug into an outlet.

We currently have a very similar fixture in our office to Access Lighting Solar (s) Contemporary Chandelier - AC-50509 and due to ballast and bulb issues we need to change light fixtures. We need something reliable for our offices and at the moment we blow 5-6 bulbs a week. Can you tell me if the referenced lighting fixture uses standard 60W chandelier bulbs and does not need specific ballast requirements?

Answer: This chandelier takes regular candelabra bulbs. The model AC-50510 is also a light fixture that takes regular candelabra bulbs. You should not have any problems with bulbs burning out with these lighting fixtures as Access Lighting is very good about quality control. It is very possible that the light fixture(s) that you currently have are defects or have defects. The AC-50509/10 are 120V so the bulbs will not get hot that they will burn out should you use no greater than 60W bulbs.

Do you have any wall sconce lights with on/off switches or can you convert any?

Answer: Unfortunately, we do not offer wall sconces with on/off light switches. Many of our manufacturers’ orders receive their lighting fixtures from overseas, where it is pre-made, predominantly in China. Thus, alterations like adding an on/off switch are not made to light fixtures. We hope this information is of help to you.

I am interested in purchasing the Quoizel Lighting Newbury Transitional Outdoor Post Lantern - QZ-NY9042K in Mystic Black finish. I plan to have it placed in the ground on my lawn. Can you tell me the appropriate post I should purchase and any other items which would be necessary for me to have this outdoor post lantern “planted” on my lawn.

Amswer: The appropriate post for an inground set up is part number is the Quoizel Lighting Outdoor Post - QZ-PO9110SB. This is the closest finish available for this particular lantern (Sterling Black). The post is all you should really need if you are putting this on your lawn.

First off, thanks! Your site has great information and has answered a lot of questions no one else could! But I am still confused on one point.

I have Halo Power Trac with something very close to the Nora Lighting Low Voltage Track Lights - NTL-2220 with the seperate transformer. It looks like I can replace those heads with something like the Nora Lighting Spike I Low Voltage Track Lights - NTL 305S (and the accessory colored glass cones). But are my options that limited? Can I use the NT-317 track adapter with the existing Power Trac to open up my options to pendant lighting?

Answer: First, if you are not using the Nora Lighting transformer NTL-2200 , then I am NOT sure if your transformer can adapt to Nora Lighting light fixtures.

NTL-2200 can only work with Nora fixture in the 2000 series (4 digits), such as the Nora Lighting Pinchback Low Voltage Track Light - NTL 2211, the Nora Lighting Gimbal Ring Low Voltage Track Light - NTL 1107 and the Nora Lighting Cylinder Low Voltage Track Light - NTL 2203.

At this time, Nora Lighting doesn’t offer any light fixture similar to the NTL-305S in the 2000 series (4 digits) that can work the NTL-2200 transformer. You would just have to order the NTL-305S directly, which comes with both transformer and fixture head for your Halo track system.

Lastly, we don’t think the existing Power Trac can work with NT-317. The NT-317 pendant adapter and strain relief (NRA-84, NRA-85, NRA-84S) can only work with the 120V line voltage pendant lights.

I am interested in the Lite Source Carlotta II LS-14101-WHT pendant light and was wondering if the flush mount transformer is included. There is not a link to the transformers when I went to order so, I am assuming the transformers are included with the lights.

Answer: This light fixture does include a transformer. However, please be advised that the canopy is not flush mount.
