Hello. I am interested in purchasing the Avalon Buffet Lamp (MD-66338) and would like some additional information. Does this buffet lamp have a harp and finial? I would be interested in changing the shade and the one I have requires those.
Answer: Yes. Meyda Tiffany’s Avalon Buffet lamp does have a harp and finial. Thus, it would be possible for you to change the shade. We hope this information is helpful to you.

Hello. I have an older house with lots of wall sconces without switches. I noticed on your blog that several of the manufactures are able to add an On/Off switch. I am interested in some of the more modern designs which don’t look readily adaptable. And I have few questions about this:
- Since the items are non-returnable, is it possible to see where they would add the switch before purchasing?
- For ceiling fans there are a variety of remote controls available. Do such remotes exist for wall sconces?
Answer: If you would like to add switch to the wall sconce, you would have to let us know which model you are interested at and the quantity so we can inquire with the manufacturer to see if they can customize your order. They should be able to let us know where the switch is going to be. In general, the upcharge would be $50 per fixture.
The remotes for the wall control are not available. However, if you wish to use a remote to control the wall sconce, We would recommend to wire the fixture to a Lutron Maestro IR wall switch instead of customizing a switch into the lighting fixture.
Let us know if you are interested in the Lutron Maestro IR. If so, we will need to know which wall sconce fixture you like first before we can tell which kind of Maestro you need.

For this 3-Wire Halo-Compatible Pendant Track Adapter - NT-317, how do you secure it to the pendent light? My pendant lights are single wire surrounded by insulation. Also will they support halogen lamps? Do you know off hand what I would need to achieve this?
Answer: We have attached the installation manual for the Nora lighting track adapter. You will also need to order the strain relief, as you can see on the Strain Relief drop down right below the pricing for the NT-317. As for the Halogen, we believe you are referring to low voltage 12V halogen. If so, then this adapter will NOT work. Because this adapter can only work with 120V line voltage pendant lights. Currently, we do not offer any track adapter with an integral transformer to adapt low voltage pendant lighting fixture.

I’d like to buy the Craftmade ceiling fan light kit, and would also like to order Craftmade Tiffany Shade Glass (CG-290) light cover. But I want to make sure they will work with the light kit. So will the glass diffuser fit most of the light kits?
Answer: Yes. The glass diffuser Craftmade Tiffany Shade Glass - CG-290 would fit the light kit LK-45. However, we just have found out from Craftmade that the light kit LK-45 has been recently discontinued. Please accept our apology!
The diffuser will fit Craftmade light kits, but we can not gurantee that they will fit any other brands. In most case, they should, as long as the light kit can receive the glass diffuser with 2-1/4″ top opening.

I have several questions before I place my order for Director Contemporary Ceiling Light (LS-17071-ALU-C). Is the light bulb included for this ceiling light? Can you tell me what type of bulb does this lighting fixture takes? And the mounting details that I need to use so that I can use correct box size?
Answer: Yes. The light bulb for this ceiling light from Lite Source is in stock and available to ship immediately. This lighting fixture includes one bulb which is a standard (50w GU-10 MR-16 Halogen) bulb. This should be available at any hardware store for about $5.00 apiece. Also, this comes with a mounting canopy which is roughly 5″ in width and is a Line Voltage item, so no transformer is needed. Should you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us here anytime.

I am installing a 3-port round canopy and plan to hang 3 Tiella pendant lights from it. The cables that came with the tiella pendant lights are too short. I need to know what part # or product description to order to obtain additional cable to extend these lights?
Answer: We do not sell coaxial cable alone and the Tiella Honey Contemporary Pendant light does not have a field replaceable socket assemble. A complete custom fixture is required and the maximum length is up to 16 feet. Please advise the lengths that you want for the pendant lights and then we can go ahead with the price quote.

Can you tell me the dark sky option means for Troy Lighting items?
Answer: The Dark Sky Compliant option basically means that the outdoor lighting fixture features a design such that light will only be directed downward (by adding another metal shade for Troy Lighting Circa 1910 Traditional Wall Sconce); no light shines upwards, keeping the sky dark. Such compliance exists because certain residential communities feels that light shines onto neighboring property is annoying, wastes energy, and obscures the night sky.
Dark sky Compliance reduces light pollution and sky glow, allowing people to view the stars more clearly without the sky glow. Therefore, certain communities would only allow Dark Sky Compliant outdoor lighting fixtures. Furthermore, lighting that glares in your eyes is a potential safety hazard. Please note that it will take up to 3 weeks to ship Troy Lighting Circa 1910 Traditional Wall Sconce (TL-B-9271-OR), if you pick the Dark Sky option.

Hi. Can this Dabmar D-5000 Pagoda Light use more than the 25w light stated? I would like to use 40w bulbs (120v). Thanks.
Answer: Hello. Unfortunately, the maximum wattage required for Dabmar’s D-5000 Pagoda Light capped at 25W. If you are okay with 40W and a bigger housing, then you can consider Dabmar D-5 Series Pagoda Light (D-5-I).

Can I install this TEARDROP Pendant Light (LS-1413) on a sloped ceiling?
Answer: Yes. That is possible. This Lite Source model can be installed on a sloped ceiling, that is because this pendant light hangs from a rope instead of a rod. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

It seems that the same pendant lighting fixture which is the Neptune I Pendant Light (HS137) has two different model numbers and 2 different prices. What is the difference between Model# HS371 and Model# HS371-AM-SC-1B35-MPT?
Answer: The difference between the two item code is that Model# HS371-AM-SC-1B35-MPT is a clearance item that has set options. It means that unlike Model# HS371, this item comes “as is”. You cannot choose things such as the glass color or the lamping which is why it has a lower price.

Hello! Can you tell me if this Tech Lighting Sophia Contemporary Pendant Light gives off enough light to be used alone over a kitchen table?
Answer: Hi. That is really a hard question to answer because we don’t know if you have other light source (such as recessed light) near the kitchen table. This pendant lighting fixture only comes with a 50W Halogen lamp. Thus, if you are relying on this lighting fixture alone, then definitely it cannot provide enough light for your kitchen table.
