Answer: The price of $36 for this Meyda Tiffany item is the cost per shade (1 pc). It is not sold in a set of 4.

Dear Sir/Madam, last april-may 2007 I ordered and received Cal Lighting Cheyenne Collection Table Lamp - BO-518. I’m so delighted with it and I’d love to have another to make a matching set to balance the lighting in my living/tv area. Please advise if this table lamp is still available.

We’ve narrowed our choice down to 3 diifferent lights - two LBL and one Tech light. First of all, which type bulb is better for the two lights we want to install over our island - Halogen or Xelogen (only available with LBL). Secondly, once we order the canopy for both companys’ lights do we need any other transformers, or any other special parts? With regards to the color of the LBL glass for the LBL Lighting Neptune I Pendant Light - HS371 in Amber. I realize the colors are unique because each piece is hand blown. It appears from the website the colors are Amber, Brown and Red. Is this correct? In addition, when the finish is changed from satin to bronze the glass is a bit darker, more brown. Is that intentional, or just luck of the draw? Finally are all three in stock: Neptune I Pendant Light - HS371 Amber, Lava II Contemporary Mini Pendant Light - HS309 and Fire Contemporary Pendant Light - 700FJFIR Amber? We need two and want to place our order ASAP so that we’ll have the lights ready for contractor. Thank you.

Answer: Yes. Choosing lighting is a suprisingly difficult task, but you have chosen between two very reputable companies. To address your first question regarding the LBL bulbs, LBL recommends going with the Xelogen because the bulb gives the same amount of light and is as effective, the difference is its shape and size, but most importantly it better compliments any pendant lighting more so than the halogen bulb because it is a little bit bulkier.

The canopies are sold separately with Tech Lighting, but they come with the transformer. The way we set up the LBL Lighting on the web allows you to choose the type of canopy and it naturally comes with the transformer as well. Choosing the mounting style canopy (dome, flush) is really the final component to completing the pendant set. Thus, there is nothing additional that you would need to purchase.

With regards to the finish on Neptune pendant light, the amber finish consists of several tones including the ones that you mentioned - brown, red, but it is not limited to these tones as some glass will contain hints of green etc. I looked in LBL’s catalog and it does appear that the glass on the bronze finish appears darker. I do not know if this was done merely for photographic reasons or if it is true to form. From our understanding the metal finish can be either satin nickel or bronze, this does not affect the glass, as the glass is chosen from a batch. All the glass are made in different batches and so swirls on one batch can be going side to side, while in another batch they are up and down. There can be a distinctive variation in glass. I can tell you that this Amber finish in this pendant style is very popular and I have not heard complaints. If one glass happens to be drastically different from the other(s) that you have, we would be more than happy to try and retrieve a glass that better matches what you have.

Answer: This Quoizel lighting ceiling light has a very dark brown base called Imperial Bronze finish.

I would like to special order this Meyda Tiffany Fleur-De-Lis Inverted Pendant Light - MD-65165. But only with the top shade, which is 26 inches wide. The bottom shade of this double-decker light makes it too big for my domestic use. Does this lighting fixture comes in different color?

I am looking to purchase a monorail lighting system. And I am also interested in your Tech Lighting 300-Watt SURFACE Transformer Single Circuit Monorail Kit - 700MOKTS300. But I need another 48 inch length of monorail. Can this be purchased separately?

We have installed a 30 feet flagpole and wish to light the US flag at night for about 4 summer months of the year, and possibly year-round at some point in the future. The flag is 6′ x 10′ (so the hanging height is perhaps 12′) and the distance from the house gable the light will be mounted on to the flag is about 75′. We don’t want a bright light, but enough to see the flag is there and be appropriate for the task. We will also want to incorporate a light sensor so it runs during the dark hours only.

This is just a residence, so what do you recommend that is economical but won’t require a lot of attention (bulb changing, re-aiming, etc)? It needs to survive in a sometimes moist and salty environment, as we’re on the Maine seacoast. While it won’t ever get direct salt spray, corrosion resistance is nonetheless important. Finally, what are the relative advantages, if any, of a low-voltage vs 110v system? Given this will be on about 1000 hours a year in an area of high electricity costs, economy is a factor in our choice. Many thanks for your help! We look forward to placing an order soon.

Answer: 120V lamps are generally better for long distance. Based on your description for a light fixture to be installed on the house gable, trying to light a flag 75 feet away, we were recommend by Dabmar manufacturer to use the DF-7940 in bronze finish with 400W metal halide lamps. This item DF-7940 is not listed on our website yet, but your cost would be $260 a piece with the metal halide lamp included.

Please consult with your electrician because you will need some kind of a conduit or electrical box when you do the splicing on the 120V line voltage.

I am considering your Craftmade Outdoor Direct Burial Lamp Post - CM-Z8994 because I need one with an outlet, to run a 110v fountain. I want the option in future to use the outlet to power a 220v spa, and so will run 220 to the lamp, and split the service to supply 110v to each side of the 110v outlet, and the lamp. In future, the outlet could be re-wired to supply 220V to the spa and 110v to the lamp (the wiring in my yard is already in place and attached to the proper service for a spa).

Any issues that you can see setting it up this way? I’m capable of pulling the required wires up through the post to the outlet, assuming its not irreversibly “pre-wired”.

Answer: This Z8994 - outdoor lamp post from Craftmade can only run in 110V. It is not designed to run in 220V.
