From the motor to the blades to the finishes, Emerson incorporates the finest details and craftsmanship to deliver only the highest quality fans. And, with so many models to choose from, you’re sure to find the perfect one to deliver year-around comfort in any room of your home.

Emerson’s commitment to quality begins on the inside, because the most important part of any ceiling fan is the motor. They are the largest producer of fractional horsepower induction motors in the world.

In 1895, Emerson introduced the world’s first ceiling fan powered by a motor that could run on alternating current.Today the K55XL is 25% more efficient and produces 20% more torque than any comparable ceiling fan motor on the market. The advanced design provides wobble-free, stable and silent operation, even at high speeds. And, because it uses less than 1.0 amps at high speed, the K55XL is extremely energy-friendly. The K55XL motor is one of the most quiet running, reliable and durable ceiling fan motors in the world.

The K55Xl features sealed, precision steel bearings that never need oiling. Aluminum die-cast end shields and heavy-gauge stator windings protect the motor from overheating.

Emerson K55XL motor features

  • The largest steel ball bearings in the business
  • Aluminum die-cast end sheilds and heavy-gauge stator windings to protect the motor from overheating
  • Over 2200 feet of quality copper wiring for optimal performance and longevity
  • Thicker motor laminations to generate both low and high speed torque

Another advantage of K55XL motor is the patented Silent Rubber Hub, a computer-designed flywheel. The Silent Hub works as a shock absorber to isolate the blades and eliminate noise transmission. The flywheel keeps the blades in alignment at an optimum pitch and the result is greater air movement and incredibly quiet operation.
