Asking for instructions on how to change the bulb for Craftmade ceiling fan light kit
This may be a dumb question - but I don’t know how to open Craftmade Classic Ceiling Fan Light Kit - LKE53-OB to change the light bulb. I don’t want to break it doing the wrong thing. Do I screw something off or pop the cover off or what?
Answer: When you are looking up toward the ceiling fan light kit, you will need to hold the oiled bronze housing with 1 hand and turn the glass shade counter-clockwise (to the left) with the other hand. There is a rail slot that the glass slides in between. Once you have turned the glass shade counter-clockwise, the glass shade will drop off from the housing so be careful and ready to catch the shade.
There is a small chance that heat from this light kit from Craftmade might have caused a tiny bit of paint to stick to the glass shade. Thus, you might have to give a little bit of force just to turn the glass counter-clockwise (when you are looking up toward the light kit)
