Dabmar outdoor flood light to light up a 25 ft tall flagpole
Is the 70W MH in this Dabmar DF-5 Series Outdoor Flood Light – DM-DF-5 going to be bright enough to light up a 25 ft tall flagpole? This is in a residential setting so I want just the right amount of light and not too much to be obnoxious to the neighbors. Does this come with any safety wire cage or protective lens cover as an option and shields accessory so that the light can be directed at the flagpole?
Answer: We were advised by Dabmar (the manufacturer), that this DM-DF-5 does not have a wire guard that will protect the lens from breaking. The 70W metal halide would not be enough light to light up a flagpole that is 25 ft. Instead, you would need to use the 100W metal halide. You would need to pick in lamping option the DF7675-MT:175W Metal Halide to light up 25 ft.
