LBL Lighting options for pendant lights

I’m just wondering what the difference is between doom canopy and flush canopy and why is there a $40 add-on fee when I go to order these LBL Lighting Sophia Pendant Light (HS266)? I just need 2 pendant lights above a kitchen island to replace ones that were there.

Answer: If you are hanging the pendant lights individually, then you will need the MONOPOINT mounting option. The mounting option includes a 75W transformer and dome/flush canopy; that is what the $40 additional charge is for. Most people pick the flush canopy for its minimalist look and house the transformer in a standard 4″ junction box up in the ceiling. However, if your electrical junction box is too small to house the 75W transformer, then you need the dome canopy to house the 75W transformer.

If you have already have a LBL Lighting monorail lighting system, then you can just pick the MRL mounting option (no additional cost), and that comes with monorail adapters.
