Light Kit for Ceiling Fans
I have a question about the type of control switch to use with the following ceiling fan:
Craftmade CXL52 ceiling fan, with the Craftmade Elegance “Frost and Clear” Light Kit LKE55
I would like to use the existing wall switch as an “on/off” switch only, and control the fan speed with the pull chain on the fan itself. I’m concerned that the bowl-shaped light kit might interfere with the pull chain. Can the pull chain be used with this type of light kit or is a wall switch required to control the fan speed?
Answer: Yes, the Elegance Light Kit can be used with the CXL52 ceiling fan. Our image does not show how the light kit accomodates the pull chain from the ceiling fan. In actual application, the light kit center cap has holes for the pull chain of the ceiling fan to run through. All of our ceiling fan light kits work in the same fashion, and can be used for all light kit adaptable ceiling fans.
