Lighting Fixtures & Lamps Questions Answered

Lite Source Directory Ceiling Light / Wall Sconce

I have two questions about a couple of Lite Source light fixtures.

  1. Does the Lite Source Director Contemporary Ceiling Light go into the wall to the point where the plate with the screws is flush with the wall, or does the base (underneath the plate where the screws are) come out of the wall? In other words, when I mount it, will the plate where the screws are be flush with the wall, or will the base be sticking out of the wall as well?
  2. For the Lite Source Director II Contemporary Ceiling Light what is meant by a height of 4.5″? Is this from the bottom of the base to the top of the metal rod?

Answer:

  1. The canopy base of the Director ceiling light/wall sconce will not be flushed with the wall. It will be sticking out.
  2. The height is measured when the swivel head is pointing directly downward, so from the top of the canopy to the bottom of the glass shade.
