Maxim Lighting semi flush mount light and wall sconces light bulb question

Does the bulb in Maxim Lighting Apollo Semi-Flush Ceiling Light – MX-2229-WH-GB sit lower in the fixture than it does in Maxim Lighting Maxim Wall Sconce – MX-20592? I know that the Apollo finish sconce – MX-2229-WH-GB is taller than MX-20592 – wall sconce, but I don’t know whether the bulb will actually sit lower inside the fixture. I ask because it will be mounted in a stairway landing and as we descend the stairs, we’d rather not see too much of the bulb exposed on the top of the wall sconce. We also really like Maxim Lighting Carthay Wall Sconce – MX-20441, but that looks like much of the bulb would be exposed when viewed from the top of a stairway.

Answer: MX-2229-WH-GB – semi flush mount ceiling light height is 16.5″ and uses 3 medium base bulbs 100W max each and is a ceiling light fixture. Model MX-20592 is a wall sconce and can be used on the wall. So, we do not think these two fixtures are comparable as their application is different. MX-20441 – Carthay Wall Sconce is about one inch shorter in height compared to MX-20592 – Maxim Wall Sconce which is 8″. Both fixtures use 2 60w max medium bulb. This is a regular bulb, you can use a candelabra bulb which has a nicer appearance than a regular bulb. We would not be too concerned about the bulb because bulbs come in so many shapes and sizes and can fit in either of the fixtures because of its medium base requirement, which is like a standard bulb.
