I would like to special order this Meyda Tiffany Fleur-De-Lis Inverted Pendant Light - MD-65165 but only with the top shade, which is 26 inches wide. The bottom shade of this double-decker light makes it too big for my domestic use. Is this possible?

Answer: Meyda Tiffany (the manufacturer), has advised us that item MD-65165 can not be custom adjusted. However, they suggested Meyda Tiffany Fleur-de-lis Traditional Inverted Pendant Light - MD-50250 which is a similar model that they have and we also have in our website. This pendant lighting fixture is about the same dimensions and of similar features or maybe more ellaborate features with the original item of your interest. I am interested in two of this Kenroy Medici Contemporary Pendant Light - KR-44303-BS-CONF. However, I need to confirm the maximum height for these items. The spec says: Height: 63″. There is a reference to 6″ x 2, 12″ x 2, and 24″ x 2 Extension Rods Included. Does these mean this pendants can drop down from the ceiling for 63″ + 24″ with the extension rods for a maximum of 87″?

Answer: No, it actually means when you connect all the extension rods included, you can only have a maximum height of 63″.

Please note that if you add additional extension rods, this pendant lighting fixture from Kenroy might sway and will not be perfectly straight. If you still need additional 12″ extension rod (11630BS). They are $11 apiece, and you will need to order 2 pieces at a time.

This may be a dumb question - but I don’t know how to open Craftmade Classic Ceiling Fan Light Kit - LKE53-OB to change the light bulb. I don’t want to break it doing the wrong thing. Do I screw something off or pop the cover off or what?

Answer: When you are looking up toward the ceiling fan light kit, you will need to hold the oiled bronze housing with 1 hand and turn the glass shade counter-clockwise (to the left) with the other hand. There is a rail slot that the glass slides in between. Once you have turned the glass shade counter-clockwise, the glass shade will drop off from the housing so be careful and ready to catch the shade.

There is a small chance that heat from this light kit from Craftmade might have caused a tiny bit of paint to stick to the glass shade. Thus, you might have to give a little bit of force just to turn the glass counter-clockwise (when you are looking up toward the light kit)
