Tech Lighting 3 Port Mount and Tiella Sola-Head
I am interested in purchasing (2) Tech Lighting 3 port flush mount canopy (800MPR3) in bronze. I need to know the diameter of the unit. How does the Tiella Tech-Sola-Head plug into the unit? The webpage only shows the head clipped to a track lighting system. Also does the Tech-Sola-Head come in bronze to match as well?
Answer: The Tech Lighting 3 port flush mount canopy is approximately 12.3″ across and 1.8″ high. The mono-point Tiella Tech-Sola head comes with a suspension cable and connects through a male jack adapter that screws into the female threaded collar of the ports in the canopy. This 3-port flush mount canopy is available in bronze; please pick bronze from the Finish drop down menu.

I have a question regarding the sola lights as well. I want to use the the sola easy track kit. It says that it is dimmable with a standard incandesent dimmer. My problem is that most switches such as the Lutron (MA-L3L3-WH) have instructions not to use with low voltage lighting. I keep finding contradictions everywhere.
Please help!

Thanks for your patience!
After doing some researching and according to the confirmation from our sales representative, you can still use the regular incandescent dimmer to control the electronic transformer for the Tiella Sola Rail Kit. The only minor disadvantage is that you might run into a higher risk of shortening the lifespan of the electronic transformer because it takes a bigger toll on the transformer than when you run it with an incandescent dimmer. We are told by our sales rep for Tech / Tiella Lighting that during the last 8 years of her service, they did NOT have any problems whenever a customer uses an incandescent dimmer.
Of course, you can always use the low voltage electronic dimmer if you don’t mind the higher pricing.
As for the incandescent dimmer itself, its lifespan would not be affected.
